Sport Pilot Training In Arizona: The PiperSport LSA at Guidance Aviation
With a cruise speed 120 KTAS, a fuel burn rate of 4.5 gallons/hour and a cruise range of 600 nautical miles, no wonder the PiperSport LSA is a busy bird at Guidance Aviation of Prescott, Arizona. Add in a Garmin 696 moving map display, leather seats, MP3 / iPOD music input and best yet, a ballistic recovery system (BRS) safety parachute and you've got yourself one safe "fun machine".
But, don't take our word for it, just ask someone who just flew it: "I am 6' and my instructor is 6'3" and we fit nicely in the cockpit. The flight characteristics are light and responsive but forgiving. The twin dynon screens give the crew a wealth of information and are actually very simple to operate. The convenience of these screens cannot be matched, you look down and you have all flight information displayed on a easy to read screen. The canopy gives simply great views, you almost feel as you are outside the plane."~Matt Bricker
With a sleek and nimble design, the PiperSportDynon flat panel Electronic Flight Information Systems (EFIS) provide two seven inch screens, coupled with the Garmin 696 Moving Map, give the pilot the necessary information to make quick and sound decisions. Even the autopilot gives this aircraft the edge of performance not found in most primary flight training aircraft. The Pipersport includes, what might be considered its safest design, the Ballistic Recovery System (BRS) parachute. BRS is credited for saving over 256 lives!

Earning a Pilots License in a Piper Sport
Okay, okay, I know, it's not called a pilot's license, it's a pilot's certificate. But a lot of folks looking to get their wings call it a license, that's okay :).
I ran across this article and I want to share it as it's a feel good story and it happens in a Piper Sport, light sport aircraft, just like the two at Guidance Aviation!
This is proof that your Pilot's Certificate is just a few hours away in our Piper Sport Cruiser.
Give us a call and find out how you can get started!

Taking Off
Shana Gutovich contacted ground control and requested authorization for takeoff. She checked the oil temperature and ensured that all systems were working. “Runway 21, bravo,” ground control responded.
The clearance had been granted and Gutovich increased the throttle of the Piper Sport Cruiser.
